Here at Connell, we are proud to be able to collaborate with the University of Manchester School of Law in offering our students the opportunity to take part in the innovative âPathways to Law programmeâ. This widening participation scheme inspires and supports academically-able students in Lower and Upper Sixth who are interested in pursuing a career in law.
One of our aspiring Law students, Enes Ozturk said:
âPathways to Law was a life-changing experience for me! Without their help, I would not know as much about law in terms of the subject itself, the nature and history of law as well as the future of law. It provided me with legal work experience suited to my ambitions of becoming a solicitor, taught me ways to tackle personal statements and took me on visits to courts and other leading international legal firms such as Addleshaw Goddard. Ultimately, I am now certain of what I want to do after college. Alongside the advantages I received, such as the grade reduction for The University of Manchester and having reliable contacts that can help me (such as my mentor who gives me useful advice and supports me along the way), I have concluded that studying Law at an undergraduate degree and beyond, is my next big step in life. Furthermore, I made new friends that can share their thoughts and suggestions with me based on our joint interest, and I am sure each one of them feels the same as I do. Pathways had a great influence on my life and I am disappointed that it has almost finished!âÂ
