These half-termly newsletters will provide you with information about various projects within the college, as well as sharing all our successes.
Congratulations to Devon Upton who has been selected to represent the Team England Hip Hop team at the ICU Worlds 2018 in Florida in April. She has had to undergo 4 auditions to be selected. Well done Devon!
Also congratulations to the Connell Rugby Team, who enjoyed their first outing of the season in a triangle tournament with Aquinas and Xaverian Colleges. The first game against Aquinas finished 12-10 in favour of the opposition after conceding a last minute try to give them the game. But Connell bounced back and beat Xaverian 14-5. The students gave an excellent team performance with tries throughout the two games coming from Luke Cox (captain), Marco Appiah and Josh Howson!
Thank you to all the students who helped out at our first Open Day on Saturday 7th October. The day went really well and we couldn’t have done it without you. And finally, congratulations to our newly-elected Student Council, the voice of the students! Student council members bring ideas, requests, and feedback to the meetings and a democratic process is used to give students a voice and make decisions. Students who participate in the student council, under the supervision of Josh Cammiss, learn about the democratic process, civic responsibility, leadership, problem solving, and teamwork.
