Connell Sixth Form College students have been celebrating excellent A-level and BTEC results this morning.
The College, on Alan Turing Way in Manchester, is proud to have achieved an A-level pass rate of 97%, with 75% of students achieving Grades A* – C. The College also celebrated BTEC pass rates of 100%, with 90% achieving high grades.
Rates of student progress continue to improve and now rank within the top 10% in the country.
Chloe Garratt was delighted to achieve A-level Law Grade A*, A-level Sociology Grade A* and A-level Chemistry Grade A. She is going to The University of Birmingham to study Chemistry.
Yomi Olajid was equally pleased to achieve Three Distinction* on his BTEC Sport & Exercise Science. He will also attend The University of Birmingham to study Sport & Exercise Science.
Jane Hopcroft, Principal said: “These results are tremendous and the students are a real credit to themselves and their families.Â Results like these do not come without a great deal of hard work and are a real testament to what can be achieved through continued effort and commitment. “
