Last week Connell had the pleasure of welcoming Adam Corbally, previous contestant on The Apprentice, to speak to our students about his life and journey to become a successful entrepreneur.
Students and staff have been inspired to take a chance and work hard to become the best version of themselves they can be. Prizes were given to students who got involved weren’t afraid to be out of their comfort zone. Lots of our students stayed behind after the presentation to speak to Adam and ask questions about their future plans and business ideas, and everyone left feeling inspired!
Adam said, “I had the pleasure of speaking at Connell sixth form last week and loved every minute of it, the staff and students were very welcoming and the time I spent with students was fantastic as they were very engaged, got involved, listened and showed their appreciation for every session. I would love to work with Connell sixth form again in the future”.
Some of our students spoke about what they learned from Adam:
‘It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it.’ – Kateryna Radetska
Adam’s talk was eye opening in many ways to say the least. Putting myself out there is definitely one thing that I will always follow as I always put my best foot forward. It just goes to show that where you come from and where life has taken you so far in your journey are just building blocks to a prosperous future if you have a positive mental attitude! Obstacles and challenges are more like tests to help me bring the best out of myself. Taking risks can lead to you getting rewards and who doesn’t love a reward? I know I do… Thank you Adam!’ – Angel Maynard
